Uniquely, Butler House is proud to house the Basil Goulding Art Collection. This important collection of renowned Irish artists was collected from the 1960's onwards and is displayed in the bedrooms and throughout the house.
We offer a range of room types to suit - from a standard queen bedded room to a deluxe double/twin room with one king and one single bed, to the exceptional elegance our spacious superior King/family rooms and suites with their stunning bow windows or french doors, with access to or views of the secluded walled garden and Kilkenny Castle.
Butler House was originally restored in the early 1970s by Kilkenny Design, who painstakingly restored all of the original architectural features and furnished the house in a very unique and contemporary way.

We are happy to welcome small groups, for example a family group but for the comfort of all our guests and dictated by the capacity limitations of our lounge and dining areas, we regret that we cannot accommodate larger groups, hen or stag parties.
